Scheduling a meeting across time zones has a specific kind of difficulty that scheduling within one time zone doesn't: there often isn't a single time that's convenient for everyone, only a time that's least inconvenient, and finding it requires seeing everyone's working hours overlapping on the same timeline at once rather than checking each person's availability separately and trying to hold it all in your head.

That's the actual problem a meeting planner solves — not converting one time from one zone to another, which a simple converter already handles, but visualizing where several people's reasonable working hours line up, so you can spot the overlap (or the lack of one) at a glance instead of manually checking each participant's local time for every candidate slot you're considering.
