Work Week Progress Bar
A live progress bar showing what percentage of the Monday–Friday, 9-to-5 work week has elapsed right now.
A percentage showing how far through the standard Monday-to-Friday work week the current moment falls is a slightly different framing than a plain calendar view, and it captures something a calendar doesn't: not just what day it is, but how far into the total work-week "budget" you currently are, treating the work week as a single continuous span rather than five separate days.
That framing has a specific psychological effect similar to other progress-bar tools on this site — knowing you're "62% through the work week" lands differently than just knowing it's Wednesday afternoon, partly because it accounts for the fact that a Wednesday afternoon in a five-day work week is meaningfully further along than the same clock time would suggest if you were only thinking day by day.
This tool calculates that percentage live, based on a standard Monday 9am through Friday 5pm work week, and automatically shows a different message on weekends, when there's no work week currently in progress to measure — a reminder that the percentage is specifically about the working portion of the week, not the calendar week as a whole.
- Just open the page — it updates live based on the current day and time.
It'll show a celebratory message since there's no work week in progress.
Not in this version — it uses a standard Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm assumption.
