Team Availability Grid

See at a glance which teammates are currently in working hours (9am–6pm their local time), based on their time zone.

About this tool

Remote and distributed teams run into a scheduling problem that colocated teams simply don't have: "are you around right now" stops being answerable by looking out the window or across the office, and becomes a question that depends entirely on which time zone each person happens to be in. A message sent at a perfectly reasonable hour for the sender might land at 3am for the recipient, and there's no way to know that without actively tracking where everyone is.

The Meeting Planner tool elsewhere on this site solves a related but different problem — finding one specific time that works for a scheduled meeting. This tool solves the more ambient, ongoing version of that question: at this exact moment, who on the team is plausibly in working hours and who almost certainly isn't, which matters for deciding whether to expect a quick reply or wait until tomorrow.

Add each teammate's name and time zone, and the grid shows everyone's current local time along with a simple working-hours indicator based on a standard 9-to-6 assumption. It's intentionally a live, at-a-glance reference rather than a scheduling tool — the goal is answering "who's probably around right now," not finding a specific meeting slot, which is a distinct enough question to deserve its own simpler tool.

How to use it
  1. Add a teammate's name and time zone.
  2. Add as many teammates as you like.
  3. The grid shows each person's local time and whether they're likely in working hours right now.
FAQ
Is 9am–6pm customizable?

Not in this version — it uses a fixed 9am–6pm working-hours assumption.

Is my team list saved?

No — this is a live, in-session tool. For a permanent list, use the Meeting Planner tool with saved participants instead.
